About Us

Vision

Lead the world of dance through the development & maintenance of an accepted high quality system for long distance education of dance & dance sport participants.

Mission

Maintain with professionalism & integrity, a profession based quality assurance system through the training, examination and certification processes of school teachers trained as dance sport teachers, adjudicators &/or scrutineers in the education system, whilst developing youth talents for sports participation with livelihood opportunities.

Background

National Dance League (NDL) Inc was initially a committee formed between PPDSA & AATD Australia in September 2000.  NDL was incorporated in 2007 and operates high quality dance education to the masses through providing services to DepEd and CHED or other agencies.

March 2006, PPDSA and the National Dance League conducted the DepEd National Training of Trainors in Dance Sport leading to participation in the 2006 Palarong Pambansa (National Games). NDL train the school teachers within PESS in order that these teachers would then train their students for participation in NDL activities of NDL Medal Assessment and competition. NDL selects a National team for specialized training where the best of these best are sponsored for World & Regional Championships.

NDL has now opened membership to the world of dance through its "National Dance League of Nations" to share experiences and knowledge through cultural exchanges using dance as our medium of understanding and cooperation.

National Dance League has already sent participants to Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, China, Korea, Thailand & Taiwan with great success.

The NDL is an affiliated member of the National Dance Teachers Council (NDTC) Inc., recognized and accepted widely as the "peak body" for the Philippine dance profession. The NDTC was formed to unite the local profession and to work towards protection of all dance and dance sport participants, be they individuals or groups.

The National Dance Teachers Council (NDTC) went to the Games and Amusement Board GAB for accreditation as a form of protectionism for dance and dance sport participants. The NDTC were accredited by GAB on May 21st 2007 and thus allowing Government regulation and supervision for dance sport.

DepEd with assistance and guidance from PPDSA - NDL will now re-enter the Palarong Pambansa in 2008/9.
